Often voted on the the best beaches in the US. It is about a 70 minute drive, but offers a lot of biking and kayaking options. Get there early in the day to take the ferry to nearby Egmont Key for a day of snorkeling, beaching, and lovely strolls along the brick walkways of an old fort.
