We have always enjoyed the food at Caffè Yaffo, rich in vegetable and dairy dishes. Pizzas and fresh breads are made fresh in the Tabun oven. Menu items include breakfasts, salads, sandwiches, pasta, fish and several health foods. Its great to sit outside and watch people pass by.

Abulafia is a famous bakery and restaurant in the heart of Old Jaffa. It has a deserved reputation. It serves all the Middle Eastern food one could dream of and it is all top quality. The service is friendly if not necessarily quick. Somewhat pricey, but totally worth it.

Basma Coffee - An authentic cafe for Arabic coffee and culture in Jaffa. A very warm and welcoming owner as well. Back in 1914, when Jaffa’s port was crowded with merchants, there was a small house from which wafted a special aroma. There, a man would roast and blend coffee beans, while his admiring daughter sat at his side, proudly and attentively watching him at work. Just hop out of the apt, and you’re there.

This cafe is located on a small quaint street in the Shuk HaPishpushim. The quirky interior makes you feel as though you are sitting in someone’s home- with mismatched furniture, cosy carpets, and portraits along the walls. The cuisine is predominantly middle eastern, with a homemade taste to it. Breakfast is served all day (which always excites us!), and the lunch and dinner menu is varied to suit all tastes.

Steps away from bobbing fishing boats, diners feast on a mostly fish and seafood menu on high tables made from wooden crates. The menu varies, but red snapper with horseradish and Jerusalem artichokes with truffles are among its delights. Local art graces the walls, and live music reverberates throughout the week. Take the chance for a relaxed walk on the walls and alleys of special Jaffa. Warehouse 2, Jaffa Port

Drinks & Nightlife

Another one of Chef Eyal Shani’s successes, this outdoor bar serves small delicious plates along with your alcohol. It’s usually pretty busy, but if you can’t find a table you can try any of the other places around the synagogue, they’re all good!

Sightseeing

A short walk south along the coast from downtown Tel Aviv brings you to the old Arab port town of Jaffa with its preserved acropolis remains and well-restored stone architecture. Much of the original bazaar area is now home to restaurants and artisan boutiques. It's particularly lively in the evening when the old town throngs with diners. The flea market here is the major attraction for visitors, full of the hubbub of a genuine souk, while St. Peter's Monastery and the Old Port area itself are also not to be missed. Compared to the big-city hustle of Tel Aviv, Jaffa is a wonderfully tranquil place for a stroll that, despite serious gentrification, still retains its old-fashioned charm.

One of the city’s main entertainment hubs with trendy shops, bars, nightclubs, cafés and a bustling farmers’ market. Thousands of residents and tourists walk along the uniquely designed wooden deck promenade to take in the salty sea breeze, gorgeous sunsets and to feel the vibe of Tel Aviv. There’s a huge sand pit for kids to play in. Weekends are busiest, with buskers and balloon artists keeping the crowds entertained. The port also hosts numerous outdoor festivals throughout the year.

Sarona was a German Templer colony established in Ottoman Palestine in 1871. It was one of the earliest modern villages established by Europeans in Ottoman Palestine. Now it is a renovated complex in the heart of Tel Aviv, which contains a nice (very touristic) market. I would recommend of a great brunch at "Claro" and great wine at the "Tasting Room".

The Levinsky Market is a gourmand’s paradise with its range of flavors, spices, nuts, dried fruits and fusion cuisines. For every scent and spice in the shuk there’s a story of roots, struggle and nationality that deepens its impact. What unifies all these variables is a love for food. From growing it to preparing it, and cooking it to savoring it, the Levinsky Market is filled with legends of migrating recipes and kitchens.

Tel Aviv is defined by its coastal position. The beaches attract tourists and locals alike. On weekends Tel Aviv's strips of sand are crowded with sun-worshippers, posers, partiers, and people just chilling out. Charles Clore beach is 16 min walking distance or bus number 37 (from Yehuda Margoza/Yefet streets corner). this beach has a wide sandy line, facilities and cafes around.
