Parks & Nature

Home to the Sinagua Indians until the 1200's these cliff dwellings are an amazing testament to the history of the Verde Valley. Just a few miles north on the I-17, also visit Montezuma's Well, another State Park where a million gallons of water comes up out of the ground daily and fed the canal systems for this tribe.

A thriving mining camp between the late-1880s and early 1950s with population peaking at 15,000 in the 1920s, Jerome is now an artistic community.
