So many restaurants to choose from! Here we have included just a few: those within walking distance, plus some of our favorites in town.
La Masia de Bahia is a casual restaurant that you can walk to from our house. The owner, Antonio, is very nice and does a decent daily menu at lunch. They also grill roast chickens outdoors in the afternoons during high season and on weekends--highly recommended for a quick meal.

A charming, typical old house with good food (try to the roast asparagus!), a lovely owner, and very accommodating to families.

They grow their own greens and herbs and serve casual, fresh food at open air tables in a beautiful little cove.

Best ice cream in Tossa (locally made and interesting flavors, as compared to the mass market ice cream the other places serve--e.g. bright blue "pitufo" or smurf flavor). Gelio's also has local goat's milk, kefir, and other dairy products, as well as crepes.

Very close to the house and with a beautiful view, La Vela is in the campsite next door and serves drinks as well as a range of family options for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Can be crowded, but at off hours it's a great choice because it's easy and close, and the views are spectacular.

Drinks & Nightlife
There are many options during the high season--these are just a couple of our favorites.
Stroll up to Bar del Far at sunset for a drink and tapas (they do a nice pitcher of sangria, sardines en vinaigre y patatas braves). Fantastic views.

At our beach at the bottom of the hill, you can go on scuba and snorkel excursions or simply rent equipment. Further along the beach, you can rent kayaks, paddle boards and other small boats.

Great location for bike rentals and general information. The shop owners are very helpful and will give you maps of local hiking and mountain biking trails (we have a link posted in the PDF House Manual linked above; we also try to keep several paper maps in the house as well—check the basket on the bookshelf).

This list includes the closest markets to our house, plus our favorite of the local markets in Tossa. But we strongly recommend the local market held every Thursday morning (roughly 8 am through 1 p.m.) along the dry riverbed in Tossa. Be sure to walk down both the two side streets, where the fruit and vegetable stalls are, as well as herbs and flowers, cheeses, meats, fish and membrillo, local honey, and more . The main street has mostly clothing and household goods--handy for beach towels etc.
Our favorite supermarket in Tossa: clean, spacious, good selection, excellent parking, and the most convenient to our house (it is on our side of Tossa: take the first exit at the roundabout at the bottom of our hill, just as you enter Tossa, then the first right, then immediate right into the supermarket's parking).
Try the membrillo de taronja (naranja) with manchego, also their 100% whole wheat baguettes--delicious!

The second floor stocks cleaning products, toiletries, appliances, postcards, souvenirs and more. The first floor has a great selection of turron, membrillo, cheeses, and other local products. For a larger selection of turron, as well as wines and other gift/souvenir items, check out the Palou branch farther down the same street (Av. Costa Brava), heading towards the beach on the left.
