The Drottningholm Palace (Drottningholms slott) is the private residence of the Swedish royal family. It was originally built in the late 16th century, and it served as a regular summer residence of the Swedish royal court for most of the 18th century. Apart from being the private residence of the Swedish royal family, the palace is a popular tourist attraction.

A beautiful lake with nice summer temperature and a bathing jetty located on the north-eastern shore where the trail points down towards the lake.
The trail around the lake is perfect for jogging/power walking.
The lake is located about 15 minutes by foot from our house.

A big playground area with a small farm with a café and farm animals such as sheep, chickens, rabbits and more.
The farm (no animals) and café is usually closed summertime.

A nice and well-visited public beach with two fine sandy beaches by the lake Mälaren. There are large lawns, bathing jetties, a diving tower, a garden café/restaurant and outdoor showers.

Parking by the nearby camping.

Ängbybadet
Ängbybadet is a large swimming area with two sandy beaches and large lawns by the lake Mälaren. The western beach has 3 bathing jetties and the eastern beach has a has a playground with swings.
There is also a restaurant / kiosk with outdoor seating and a beach volleyball court.
Parking by the nearby camping.
Getting Around
The bus stop for bus 117 from our (your) home to Brommaplan subway station, from where you can go to Stockholm City.
Make sure to purchase tickets in advance or via the mobile phone app "SL - Journey planner and tickets". Not possible to purchase tickets on the bus.
