A beautiful swimming beach famous for its African penguin colony. Great for kids and big kids too! You will need to pay a small conservation fee to visit the beach, but it's well worth it. Note that the entrance to the beach is a different entrance to the visitor's centre.

A great place to do wine tasting. The view is magnificent, and the restaurant is very popular (so I would recommend booking in advance). You can also book a picnic basket and sit on the lawn - again, phone at least a day ahead. It's a great space for families as well - there are jungle gyms and a big area for the kids to run around and explore.

The Stellenbosch wine route is spectacular. Take a full day to hop around to different farms and sample some beautiful wines. Most wine farms also have great restaurants.
