Parks & Nature
If you like cycling, you can rent some bikes (from Central Station and other places) and go for a ride. Cycling through the dunes is especially enjoyable! Follow the bike paths along the beach towards Meijendel and have a well deserved pancake at the typical Dutch style forest restaurant (http://www.meyendel.nl/). Driving there and walking is also beautiful!

The Beach: take tram 11 (walk out of the house, turn right. At the end of the street, turn left: you’ll see the tram rails and the stop. This will take you to Scheveningen beach. If you prefer a quieter beach, then cycle/drive to the end of the “Houtrustweg”, where you can park and from there access to the beach. If you keep walking in the Southern (left) direction, you will find some nice beach bars. (The second one called “Strandzuid” and the third “De Staat” are favourite.
