Upscale steak house is my all time favorite for special occasions. You will most likely need reservations for this one. Bar is first come first serve however and has it's own separate menu. Owner will greet you at the door no matter the night. Start with the halls chophouse salad and then the 45 day old aged filet is my go to, paired with creamed spinach, lobster mac and cheese, and charred creamed corn skillet. 18 layer chocolate cake made locally on Wadmalaw Island with an espresso martini is the perfect finish. Pricey but you wont regret it or be able to button your pants the next morning. Also, has an amazing brunch on the weekends which is a little more reasonably priced with a gospel singer/piano duet on Sundays for your morning entertainment.

Staple restaurant in Charleston known for their upscale atmosphere and coastal southern cuisine. This is one of my favorite places to go for lunch or brunch and love taking visitors here when I am hosting friends/family. Its also a really nice dinner option. Breakfast, start with the fried green tomatoes then get the shrimp and grits with a bellini. Dinner, get the she crab soup to start with the fried chicken entree. Yum!!

One of my favorite local artists, Olessia Maximenko, has her work displayed here. She created the famous artwork that is now used as the logo for Pearlz, a Charleston favorite for oysters and oyster shooters! Popping in and out of Art Galleries and bar/restaurants is a great way to spend a rainy day in the low county.

There are quite a few plantation parks to visit and explore. Magnolia Gardens is probably my second favorite. Cypress is a little further drive than the others but this one is amazing because you get to take a little row boat out on your own in the cypress tree swamp just like the movie The Notebook. It is in fact the site where that scene in The Notebook is filmed. You will see more alligators than swans though!
