If up are up for a little walk you should go to one of the hidden gems in Toronto. This is a monument to that was created for a friend that passed away after being hit by a car. The community and the artist continued to paint it over the years until City Hall as the importance it was to the people. It's now maintained by an art organization.

Everyone wants to go to the highest building in every City and look over it's skyline. Most people that live in Toronto have never been. I think it's a little over price and something that you will do in about 1hr. Here is a better way to get more out of the CN Tower and you might save a little bite of money. Have lunch at the 360 Restaurant at the top of the tower. If you are planning on going for lunch anyways and you want to go to the top why not do both. You will have a great meal and it also rotates so you can see all of Toronto over the course of your meal. After your meal you can head downstairs to the observation deck. If you like to drink wine, they do have the worlds tallest wine cellar and has some of the finest wins in Toronto.

Shhhh! Don't tell the locals that I told you about this place. This is Toronto best kept secret as it's a little out of the way and well hidden. The Evergreen Brick Works is one of the most important historical areas in Toronto. Most of our red brick buildings in Toronto from 1889 to the 1980's came from the Brick Works. In 1994, restoration of the site began with 3 ponds and with native trees, shrubs and wildflowers. By 1997 it will open to the public. Many of the building have their original look and feel when they first opened. There is a nice trail that you can walk around the ponds and if you are up to it, there is a big hill you can climb to over look the Brick Works. There is a café and Garden Centre. My favourite time of the year is the fall as the leaves change. The weekend is the best time to come down as they an outdoor market till 1pm on Saturday or Sunday. This is a must do if you are looking for something different to do. You can drive down to the Brick Works or take the Free shuttle beside the Broadview Subway Station Parkette at Erindale Ave and Broadview Ave or take the 28 Bayview South bus from Davisville subway station. It runs from 6am–1am from Monday to Saturday and 8am–6pm on Sundays.

I have been told that people in Toronto are cold and not friendly but in reality you want to help you. We just have places to go. If you ask anyone for any kind of directions they will help you. What makes Toronto so special is most people downtown live in Toronto and they are not tourists. Just ask away. We really do want to help you.

Money exchange.

My favourit place to exchange money is in the atrium which is just little north of Dundas on Yonge Street. They have the cheapest rates I have found. I always use them. It is called Interchange Financial Currency Exchange. Don't use any of the of ones in the Eaton Centre or a bank as they will not give you a good rate.

Poutine

I always get asked where to get the best poutine in Toronto and most people in Toronto might say one of these specialized poutine restaurants but I have not found one I like. I want to add (I might no longer be able to go to Montreal any more) that I really do believe that New York Fries is hands down the BEST Poutine in Canada. Just make sure they don't over do it on the gravy. You can find one in the Eaton Centre food court. #2) Harvey's - You can find one in 10 Dundas East (across from the Eaton Centre) #3) Chip truck - There is always one in front of City Hall
