Food scene
Sahm's is just a short walk from the condo. Just exit the condo take two lefts and walk up the hill (it's a slight up-hill walk, but downhill on the way home). Great place for food and drinks. Summers, there is usually live music on Fridays and Saturdays and they always have weekly specials.
If you want to stay in, Sahms is easy to carry-out and they have great pizza's

We like to goto Sahm's for the food and "The Fairfax" for entertainment. They frequently have live music and lots of pool tables. They also have good food...We recommend the catfish. Just a quick 1.5 mile drive from the condo.

Sightseeing
If you want to get out on the lake the Fourwinds is the place to start. They have boat rental and a great little restaurant at the hotel. Fairfax also has a huge public beach if you just want to hang out by the lake.

The Monroe Lake Dam Overlook is just a short 5 minute drive. You can also drive across the dam and go down to the park at the base of the dam to see the spillway. There is also a nice trail that follows the creek.

Make sure to head into Bloomington at least once. Take a trip around the square and walk down Kirkwood Ave and take a selfie at the Indiana University Sample Gates. You'll find lots of restaurants, shops, and bars along the way.

If you walk to this address in the neighborhood, you can find a trail that leads down to a small gazebo on the lake. You will need to walk between two buildings after this address and find the trail behind one of the buildings.
This is also the best way to get down to the water. This is about 1.5 miles round trip and the trail down to the water can be strenuous.

This is about a 2 mile round trip from the Near the Lake House and has a few moderate hills. You can also get access to the lake in a few spots on this trail. You can follow the entire trail and it will pop you back up in a different part of the resort. Make sure to take your phone so you can find the way back.
