Grand Lake Golf Course is an ~8-minute drive from the condo.
There is also a disc golf course and an interconnected trail system right next door. This area got hit pretty hard by wildfires but still offers wonderful views of the high peaks.
In the winter, enjoy the Nordic center with 35km of classic and skate skiing trails. The trails are excellent for snowshoeing and there is a dedicated dog loop and a kids tubing hill.

This is a family-friendly park with stunning views of Mt. Craig and a fishing pier. There is an easy, mostly paved trail loop that runs through the park and there are plenty of benches and picnic spots.

This beautiful lake has a ~4-mile, easy trail that follows the lake shore. This is a family-friendly and dog-friendly trail. Monarch lake does not allow motorized boats which makes it a popular place to paddle board, canoe, or kayak. This is a ~30 min drive from the condo. There is a decent-sized parking lot at the trial head and the road to get there is well maintained.

Monarch Lake Trailhead
Waterton ValleyThis beautiful lake has a ~4-mile, easy trail that follows the lake shore. This is a family-friendly and dog-friendly trail. Monarch lake does not allow motorized boats which makes it a popular place to paddle board, canoe, or kayak. This is a ~30 min drive from the condo. There is a decent-sized parking lot at the trial head and the road to get there is well maintained.
Adams Falls can be accessed from the East Inlet Trailhead. The parking lot for this trail is ~1.5 miles from the condo. The Falls are a short 0.3 miles hike so you get a huge payoff for not much effort. You can continue on the East Inlet Trail for some beautiful views of Mt. Curtis, Lone Pine Lake, Lake Verna, and Spirit Lake.

This area is known for moose sightings so read up on moose safety before you go! This spot is a ~10-minute drive from the condo. There is parking available and picnic tables available for visitors.

This is my second favorite place to eat and grab some beers. Charlies has great Mexican food and margaritas. They also have karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights.

National Parks
Grand Lake is adjacent to Rocky Mountian National Park (RMNP), Arapahoe National Forest, Troublesome Valley, Indian Peaks, and Winter Park. Please note that RMNP has a timed entry system in the summer.
In the winter, RMNP offers Ranger-led snowshoe walks. Snowshoes can be rented in the town of Grand Lake. More info can be found at the GoGrandLake site.
Dogs are not allowed on all trails so check ahead of time before bringing your pup!

Grand Lake has a natural ice skating rink on the
lake starting in February. Bring your own skates, I
am not aware of any skate rentals.
