The second we enter our unit after a long flight, we hightail it to Chicken + Whiskey. You can't go wrong with any other their wraps and chicken dishes. As a vegetarian, I love the Inti Wrap, their plantains are delicious!

There used to be one in Dupont Circle, not sure why they closed it. But the bagels here are delicious, as are the sandwiches. They are not stingy with the fillings. Both the breakfast and lunch sandwiches are delicious.

This used to be Buffalo Bill's which was our go to weekend spot. It had great bar food, good beer prices, and tons of games like pool, skee ball, shuffleboard, and so much more. Unfortunately it closed, but has been replaced by the equally fun Swinger's mini golf club. Definitely a fun place for a date or group outing.

Another underrated spot in DC, I feel like people only check out the Arboretum once they've exhausted all of the museums. It's a great spot to get out in nature for a few hours and the columns are a popular photo spot.

Another excellent spot to get out in nature and see some really cool flowers and giant lily pads! Definitely come in the spring/summer when everything is blooming.

Definitely a young person's area, AdMo is a great spot to grab some dinner then bar hop until they shut it down. Shenanigans, Madam's Organ, Grand Central, you'll never run out of places to go. Also great karaoke, book shop, and a cool record store in the area.

As I've said before, this stretch of street is just 2 blocks from our building and has great food, bars, shops... I could go on forever! Just go check it out, you won't be disappointed :)

Another great neighborhood close by to the condo. Has all the things... shops, grocery stores, coffee shops, a great bookstore, restaurants, etc. Also has a metro top, and the circle itself is a great hangout spot.

Also known as Navy Yard, this area is new and developing, and has tons of great restaurants and bars that you should check out before and/or after you catch a game at Nationals Park.

DC is a Walking City!
DC has some of the best transportation in the country... but this is a walking city! No matter the season (except maybe summer, when the humidity is killer), the DC streets are beautiful to walk through. Every neighborhood has its own charm and flair, and coming from the west coast, we love the architecture of the houses.

Check out ALL, and I mean ALL, of the Museums
Although there are definitely some I like more than others, all of the museums are incredible, and basically all next to each other so there is no excuse to not check them out! My favorites include the National Gallery of Art, the National Portrait Gallery, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and the National Museum of Natural History.
