Really nice walk by the river here
Up close the point du Gard is hugely impressive. If you're lucky you can see it from the air as you fly in or out of Nimes airport.

You can walk to Aigues Vives from the house, using the footpaths and with the aid of a good map. A quieter village than Calvisson. It's butchers shop is well-known locally for its quality. You could try their guinea fowl (pintade).

For day to day shopping you have a U Express. If you like wine, you must visit Calvisson's cooperative winery which sells local wines at good prices, with an excellent selection. If you are on a budget, take a flagon there to be filled from the 'petrol pumps', offering white, rose and red (particularly recommended) at incredibly cheap prices.
