Buck Bald is our favorite "watering-hole" in Murphy. Matt, Lily, Sade, Jake, and Patrick treat you like a "regular" when you walk in the door. They do not serve food but you can order food on-line from Smoky Mounain BBQ Company next door and they will deliver it to your bar stool.

The Murphy RiverWalk starts only 2 miles from Charlotte's Cottage next to the Old L&N Depot at the entrance to Downtown. There is plentiful parking at this location and you can walk the easy hiking paths that follow the Hiwassee and Valley Rivers that encircle Downtown Murphy. There are 4 miles of trails. This is a great place to walk or run!

My favorite restaurants
The lovely part about Charlotte's Cottage is that we are super-close (5 minutes) to many nice restaurants in downtown Murphy. My favorite is the Murphy Chophouse, Parson's Pub, and Shoebooties. The Chophouse has a lovely outdoor dining area. Other great restaurants are located downtown, too. This includes Valley River Eatery and Brewery, Parsons Pub, Shoebooties, Perrones, and Chevelle's.
Pull up a stool and have a pint and some traditional English-fare right in downtown Murphy!
