A firm family favorite. Le Delice offers delicious food. The calamari is a favorite . the burgers are exceptional and your generally cannot go wrong.
This is the best place to go for fine French food and a reasonable price. Check out the dessert buffet where you can help yourself. Go with an empty stomach.

Transport
Public transport is not readily available. Taxis are the best option especially at night, see info book. The train from the bottom of the hill is an easy option. Runs every 30mins, check at tourist office for seasonal time table. Takes 5mins to Chamonix from Les Houches.

No high heels!
Chamonix is a very casual environment. Restaurants are very well heated, layers are better than large chunky sweaters. Snow boots are the norm everywhere day and night.

Be careful with altitude.
Young babies are not advised to go up in cable cars due to altitude. check with Dr in advance.
