Personal favorite hike. Long, less steep way up is gentler and has great views of Long Pond, South West Harbor, Seawall all the way to Ellsworth on a clear day. Fire tower on top. Usually take steep fast way down, with child and dog it's an easy 1 hr hike if we mean business straight up and down; but we easily stretch it to 2-3hrs if we take our time and hang out for a bit on top.

Iconic simple walk along the Shore Path of Bar Harbor. Past the famously four masted Margaret Todd joyride schooner, and all the remaining shore front "cottages" of Bar Harbor's faded guilded glory.

Such a simple but profound walk. Scrub pine meandering woodland trail opening to beach and raw surf. Gentle walk for all ages. Especially great for people wanting the dramatic views without intense hiking.

Steep, quick hike to dramatic view of Eagle Lake, Jordan Pond, Seal Harbor and the infamous "bubble rock" looming over the park loop road. This was my family's first "steep" hike and remains a favorite for my six year old years later because it's steep but short to the summit with lots of different overlook options. It's just challenging enough to get some cardio benefit, but holds the attention and pays off quick! Enjoy!

Park Loop RoadSteep, quick hike to dramatic view of Eagle Lake, Jordan Pond, Seal Harbor and the infamous "bubble rock" looming over the park loop road. This was my family's first "steep" hike and remains a favorite for my six year old years later because it's steep but short to the summit with lots of different overlook options. It's just challenging enough to get some cardio benefit, but holds the attention and pays off quick! Enjoy!
