Sandown
A traditionally characterful town 20 minutes drive from Ventnor. Although the beach is not dog friendly (1 May - 30 September) there are plenty of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants to keep you busy! Take a look at Jim’s Jurassic fossil store 🦕
Food scene
Although a tiny cafe, the food is baked fresh to order and the setting is gorgeous. The service can be slow but they warn you of this as everything is made to order.

Absolutely unbelievable food. Spicier than what you may expect but gorgeous food and swift service. 10/10 recommend. Delivers straight to the door as fresh as if you’re eating in the restaurant.
