Port Stanley will be celebrating for a second year in a row our new tradition of ringing bells throughout the village on Christmas Eve 🔔 This lovely idea started as a 'little idea for the community' in Harrogate, England and spread quickly around the world. On Christmas Eve at 6pm we are asking everyone to go outside and ring a bell for 2 mins to spread Christmas spirit and to help Santa fly that sleigh … it would be a wonderful memory for the kids and the community. Let’s end 2021 with a bit of magic, hope and togetherness! What do you think Port Stanley? Will you join the Jingle? #christmasevejingle

Located at 46900 Brouwer’s Line-south of Hwy 3 at Orwell
Named after the first CCCA Chairperson and local conservationist, the Archie Coulter Conservation Area stretches for 133 acres along the west branch of Catfish Creek. Hike this lesser-explored 4 km trail in Central Elgin for a glimpse of these beautiful surroundings. Today the property has over 4 km of trails, and a wide section of Carolinian wildlife. The property is great for hiking, cross-country skiing, birding, fishing, and resource management.

Solitude is available for day use from dawn to dusk for walking on the trails within the woods or having a picnic lunch by the pond. The main trail running south and north ( Maeve’s Way) is now wheelchair, stroller and walker accessible thanks to TD Friends of the Environment, MEC London and the Friends of Solitude for their financial support in this project . Gate combination is 4538 to gain access to the trail.
