In addition, we have some fun historical fiction books depicting the early settlement in Palmer located in the guest house, as well as other Alaskan books.

Hatcher's Pass Public Use Area and the Independence Mine State Historical Park and Visitor Center will be of interest to all walks of life. There are paved walking paths at the visitor center, as well as hikes for all ability levels and enthusiasts throughout Hatcher's Pass. There is an A-frame lodge, Hatcher's Pass lodge, if you need to stop for a very tasty meal or snack!

In addition to wonderful meals, you can stop in for fresh from scratch pastries, coffee and espresso, locally made kombucha, excellent desserts, fresh baked bread, and more! Turkey Red is closed on Sundays.

This is a nice local coffee shop and cafe. They offer breakfast and lunch items, excellent soup and bread, sandwiches, pie, and made from scratch pastries. There are cute local shopping options nearby for something unique and Alaskan to take home.

Humdingers is an excellent choice for gourmet stone fired pizzas of all types, amazing salads, and awesome desserts! The atmosphere is small, cozy, and always friendly!

The Palmer Ale House is located in a really neat historic building. Check their website for scheduled live music. They offer a variety of foods and beer on tap. This is a great place to catch a game while you dine.
