Dawyck Botanic Garden is a five star garden set in 65 acres and renowned for its seasonal displays of snowdrops, bluebells, rhododendrons, azaleas, blue poppies and autumn colour.
Dawyck offers woodland and burnside walks, themed tree trails and visitors can follow the adventures of plant explorers such as David Douglas, after whom the Douglas fir is named.
Dawycks state of the art Visitor Centre includes a Welcome Desk, Botanic Gift Shop and a cafe overlooking enchanting woodland. There is also a selection of unusual plants for sale outside.

live osprey cams and learn more about other wildlife.

The jewel in the Borders golfing crown, Peebles is a fun but challenging Harry Colt designed course set in a beautiful location with a family friendly vibrant club.
One of the most picturesque courses in Scotland with panoramic views of the Tweed Valley, the tough opening holes are balanced by the fairly mild back nine (excluding the challenging 14th) and testing par five finish.

Our favourite Peebles walks
A copy of the 'Paths around Peebles and The John Buchan Way' booklet can be found in the ‘Information for Guests’ book but I’d also be happy to send you the link via email or text mesage.
This booklet includes 9 routes starting from Peebles, two routes starting from Eddleston and routes in Cardrona Forest. The area is ideal for walking because the town is surrounded by rolling hills, includes areas of extensive woodland and offers gentle walks along the banks of the River Tweed.
The routes described range from short strolls to more strenuous hill climbs. Each route has a summary containing distance, estimated time to complete, start and finish points and an indication of the terrain to be expected.
These walks vary in length to cater for all levels of fitness and weather!!
