Best beach closest to house is Kings Beach and the beaches to the west (Tahoe Vista). Water is warm, beaches are sandy and the views of Desolation to the south are great.

Best beach closest to house is Kings Beach and the beaches to the west (Tahoe Vista). Water is warm, beaches are sandy and the views of Desolation to the south are great.
Probably the best beach in Tahoe (as long as you don't mind crowds). Can definitely be crowded! Come early in the day if you want a place to park. Beautiful sandy beach with great swimming!

My favorite beach due to it's proximity to the my house and just generally cool mix of rock and sand at beach. Awesome swimming. More of a local crowd. Cool place to kayak to from Kings Beach.
