Natural Wonders

*Fun Fact: Port St. Lucie is located in the heart of Florida’s Treasure Coast. And the story of the Treasure Coast began in 1715 when a fleet of Spanish ships, loaded with gold, silver, jewels and other treasures were anchored just offshore waiting to make their way back to Spain. This was before The Weather Channel, so little did they know a hurricane was on the way. Most of the ships sank during the storm, scattering the treasure onto the ocean floor. To this day, these treasures are still found by lucky beachgoers or divers — giving the region its well-deserved name. So grab a metal detector and start hunting on 21 miles of beaches!!!! Discover St. Lucie’s uncrowded and pristine beaches where nearly half the coastline is public preservation — a rare characteristic for a South Florida beach destination. What’s more, is that visitors enjoy more public beach access points per square mile than any other coastal community in Florida. With exception of the Florida State Park beaches, all beaches in St. Lucie are free admission and free parking and many are equipped with amenities such as bathrooms, pavilions, dune walkovers, and more.

The National Navy SEAL Museum is the only museum dedicated solely to preserving the history of the United States Navy SEALs and their predecessors. The Museum and memorial resides on the original training grounds of the first Navy combat divers, the Frogmen.
Built to honor the men who served with fortitude and dedication, the Navy SEAL Museum first opened its doors on Veterans Day in 1985. From humble beginnings, the facility has experienced tremendous growth, achieving national stature in 2007. The main objective of the Museum remains the promotion of public education by providing the opportunity to explore the history of the United States Navy SEALs through interactive exhibits, while honoring the fallen at the Navy SEAL Memorial and caring for those warriors’ families through the Trident House Charities Program.
