With the Anagach Woods just minutes away, it is a great place to enjoy a relaxed stroll down to the river, spotting deer, red squirrels and Capercaillie. Or if you want to do something a bit more energetic there are many Mountain Bike Trails in the wood too.

These recommendations are down the road towards Aviemore and the surrounding area, maybe a 20-30 minute drive away.

Landmark Forest Adventure Park has been a family (and friend) favourite for many years. Treetop trails, rock climbing and wild water coasters - there’s something for everyone.
Landmark is only a short drive from Grantown-on-Spey in the town of Carrbridge, where you can also see the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands!

Morayshire and Inverness
Findhorn Beach near Forres is another of my favourite places. This is a bit further away at a 40 minute drive, but the beach is beautiful and I’ve sat on the sand by the water close to seals many times. The painted beach huts, long pale sands and Findhorn Bay are also super picturesque. The town of Findhorn also has many places to eat - The Kimberley Inn being a favourite of ours. The Findhorn Foundation is also near here and may be of interest!

Logie Steading is a lovely converted steading full of independent shops, a great cafe and a playground. From here you can go on lots of great walks too.

Randolph's Leap is a dramatic and scenic trek along the River Findhorn and you can start off your walk from Logie Steading. Please check out the website https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/moray/randolphs-leap.shtml# before attempting this walk, as there are steep drops and slippery pathways.
