This is walking distance to your Airbnb! We walk here almost daily. It's beautiful and a wonderful walk. Just go out your gate, turn left, then turn left on Fieldale Dr, then at the end of that road is the beginning of the trail to the wildlife area, just a 5 minute walk away! Be sure to follow the trail all the way down and then turn right until you dead end at the creek and can see all kinds of wildlife, or sit at a bench and enjoy the quiet of nature there.
North Laguna Creek Wildlife Area

Another local favorite, probably only about a 10-15 minute drive from your Airbnb. This trail is short but sweet, just a lovely quiet walk surrounded by soft fields and creeks.

If you were wondering what that big mountain is far off in the distance toward the SouthWest, that's Mt. Diablo, and it's more than worth the drive to go drive to almost the top of the mountain and see the spectacular views of the Bay Area and the Sacramento Valley with the Sierra Mountains back dropping it! On a clear day, you can even see Mt. Shasta all the way up north!!

Diablo, and it's more than worth the drive to go drive to almost the top of the mountain and see the spectacular views of the Bay Area and the Sacramento Valley with the Sierra Mountains back dropping it! On a clear day, you can even see Mt. Shasta all the way up north!!

This is by far our favorite beach at Lake Tahoe. It's on the West Shore, which is less crowded. Even then, be sure to get there early to claim your spot on the beach and get ready to have the most relaxing and beautiful Alpine beach day you've ever had.
