We're part of the little neighborhood know as Manchester. Within walking distance (all downhill going and uphill coming back!) is the Pomeroy Harbor/Beach area. Great little area for a picnic, or just hanging out at the beach. You can find the public library, post office and the Manchester Bar & Grill in this area. Great views of Downtown Seattle, Blake Island and Mt. Rainier.

Old town Port Orchard/Marina area has many activities and shops to explore. There is a great park at the marina and it's fun to search for shells at low tide. (be sure to check the tide schedule, not a lot of beach at high tide) https://pobsa.com/historical-downtown/

MARINERS BASEBALL - T-MOBILE PARK

Going to the ballpark? We usually take Fast Foot Ferries into downtown Seattle to get to the games...traffic, parking, etc. in the city on gameday is not fun. To get to the ballpark, take the Fast Foot Ferry at the Port Orchard Marina. This ferry will take you the to Bremerton Ferry Building, where you will catch another Fast Foot Ferry to downtown Seattle. From the Seattle Ferry Building, it's about a mile walk to the park, with many restaurants, bars, and fun shops to explore. On gamedays, there are many food vendors, outdoor bars, and more in the area outside of the park. Check the ferry schedules on the Washington State Ferries website.

Downtown Seattle: The easy way!

If you're planning to visit the downtown Seattle area, consider using the Southworth Fast Ferry. The Southworth Ferry building is less than 10 minutes from the property. All day parking is a bargain at $5.00. (you wouldn't believe how expensive it is to park in Seattle!) Walk onto the ferry for a 20-25 minute boat ride to the heart of Pike's Place. Check the schedule for sailing times. Don't get stuck in Seattle. Taking a car into the city? The Southworth ferry is an easy trip.
