Cheapest place to get breakfast about 10 mins walk. Nothing fancy - it’s a UK chain - however you will be able to get a full breakfast for under £5 - plus they do all the British pub food classics. No dogs allowed unfortunately- which is unusual for Edinburgh.

Famous public house in Duddingston built in 1306 and where Bonnie Prince Charles once hid. A favourite spot for the odd Royalty and perfect for a Sunday lunch - perfect after a nice stroll across the valleys of Arthur’s seat ( St Hunters big) 9 mins drive or 50 mins walk. alternatively you could catch a bus to Queen’s Park for a shorter walk. Duddingston lock is a delight to visit afterwards or the community gardens.
