The Headcorn Aerodrome is within a 25 min drive away with daily flights of the historical Spitfire! You can even book a flight yourself. Idea for anyone interested in aviation with a carpark running along side the runway (10 metres away) at a cost of £3 per day parking... Great value....

Bodiam Castle is only a 30 minute drive away, Bodiam Castle is a 14th-century moated castle near Robertsbridge in East Sussex It was built in 1385 by Sir Edward Dalyngrigge, a former knight of Edward III, with the permission of Richard II, ostensibly to defend the area against French invasion. Scotney Castle is another must see if you are in the area, Romantic garden with a view of the 14th century moated castle and the Victorian country mansion, all in a beautiful wooded estate. Well worth a visit

The path passes by apple laden orchards to Boughton Monchelsea where you can access a panoramic view of the grand deer park via St Peters a beautiful and early 12th Church. The walkers paradise, and must be done.
