Food Scene
Here's a few of our favorite local spots!
Calderone Club is our favorite place to go for authentic style Italian food, made by the most authentic and friendly people. The restaurant is small and romantic and family owned, using garden-grown produce before it was the cool thing to do. Our favorite are the margarita pizza and the tiramisu made daily by Christian's Auntie.

Fiddleheads has the best coffee around. If the weather is nice, you have to go here and sit outside along the river. My favorite is the white chocolate lavender latte!

Brandywine uses natural, local foods for their every changing menus. Somewhat/moderately pricey, and very small, so call in advance for a great date night!

Sightseeing
The Lion's Den Gorge is a gorgeous trail along Lake Michigan. It is handicap accessible, but if you're able climb the stairs down to the lake and find some pretty beach rocks to keep as mementos. I am stunned by the beauty of this place no matter how many times I go!

Reserva Natural de Lion's Den Gorge
511 High Bluff DrThe Lion's Den Gorge is a gorgeous trail along Lake Michigan. It is handicap accessible, but if you're able climb the stairs down to the lake and find some pretty beach rocks to keep as mementos. I am stunned by the beauty of this place no matter how many times I go!
Virmond Park is very close by on Lake Michigan, here in Mequon. At Virmond you can play tennis for free, walk the trails, picnic, or just watch the kiddos on the playground surrounded by the gorgeous scenery.

This is the closest mountain biking trail near my house, they have nice walking trails too, but the MTBing is where it's at!

Neighborhoods
Thiensville is the historic little village that is at the heart of the city of Mequon. There you can find great coffee spots, boutiques for shopping, restaurants, and the beautiful River Walk - a trail along the Milwaukee River.

Cedarburg has a historic strip where you will often find festivals! If there isn't one going on, you will still enjoy great places to eat, friendly bars, confectioners, and lots of boutiques. The vintage jewelry store is my absolute favorite - Nouveau Antique Jewelry! The French bakery is amazing too. You can spend the whole day just walking around Cedarburg!

Cedarburg has a historic strip where you will often find festivals! If there isn't one going on, you will still enjoy great places to eat, friendly bars, confectioners, and lots of boutiques. The vintage jewelry store is my absolute favorite - Nouveau Antique Jewelry! The French bakery is amazing too. You can spend the whole day just walking around Cedarburg!

Cafe Holland has lots of seating, so you never have to wait to get a table for breakfast! I recommend the beignets!
