North Park is one of the larger mid-city neighborhoods. There is a lot to see and do - shops, restaurants, bars - you name it! Take a bus or park your car and 'walk-walk-walk'!

Take in a play, go to one of the many museums or houses of hospitality, purchase local art, take in a free organ concert, visit the San Diego Zoo or just walk around and enjoy the botanical gardens. If you like small-scale trains, do not miss the model railway museum. If you like Japanese tea and gardens, stop by the Japanese pavilion. Enjoy a nice lunch or dinner on the patio at the Prado restaurant (reservations recommended for dinner on holidays or weekends).

The OB Pier is a large municipal pier that will give you great views of the waves (on the beach side or behind where they break). Sit and watch the surfers or one of the many anglers vying for a vast array of salt water fish.

Torrey Pines Sate Reserve has hiking trails to enjoy or just stroll along the beach and watch the surfers ride the waves. Grab a bite to eat or stroll through the beach communities of Del Mar, Solana Beach, Cardiff or Encinitas by driving north on Highway 1, Pacific Coast Highway.

This mall is a bit of an experience. Definitely upscale - all my guests really enjoy it. Lots of places to eat & shop - a wine and other bars are outdoors and very relaxing. It's a nice day to stroll the shops, get a bite to eat and just relax. (note: this mall charges for parking > 2 hours)

They have a vast array of both women's and men's clothing. Although the prices are mid-upper range, the clothing I purchase here is of top-notch quality and lasts many years.
