Local bush walks if glowworm caves aren’t affordable
There’s some really great bush walks in the area, such as the Ruakuri Bush Walk which is located 10 minutes down the road from the Glowworm Caves. If you walk in just on dark, you’ll be able to spot some glowworms!

There’s always places available when travelling where you can charge your phone. Packing water is a must especially during summer and packing food is also a great option especially if your trying to reduce costs or if you get caught out in an area with no food available.
