Heffley Lake is a large lake located just a short 20 minute drive from Sun Peaks. There is a stand-up paddleboard rental shop nearby (reservations may be required in advance), and a public boat launch ramp.

Tap water is safe to drink
Our local tap water is glacier water, completely safe to drink.
Our water is high in calcium and minerals, so if you fill a glass with water from the tap it may appear cloudy for a few seconds until the minerals have settled.

Sunday Farmer's Markets in the Summer
In the summer months (approximately June - September), there is a farmer's market on Sundays from 10am - 2pm.
Most of the vendors sell local handicrafts, but some vendors sell baked goods and fresh local vegetables and fruit.
