We are in about 20 minutes walk from the Acropolis. We extremely recommend to visit the site in the morning during the summer. The heat in the afternoon hours would not be recommendable. Save the afternoon to visit the museums nearby.

Syntagma Square is the most important plaza in modern Greece. This building was the King’s palace before the rise of the republican state. Here takes place demonstrations and most of Greek government decisions.

This is one of the greatest museums of Greece. It holds collection from ancient Mecenas, Crete and the Minoan jewelry and many other treasures of Ancient Greece. It is a must. It is about a 7 minutes walk from our apartment.

Planks is special. Great Athenian artists have chosen this neighborhood to live. There’re many good restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and many exquisite gift shops. You can buy good linen and pure cotton clothes in this area.

You can take the train at Victoria Station and descend at the Thision Station, it is just on your right side. From this station you can ascend to the Acropolis which lies on your right side.
