The beach of Athera village is sandy and is located in the center of a small, narrow bay, which preserves and maintains the waters calmly.The waters are shallow and blue and ideal for swimming and young children. Opposite a small island, Atheronisi completes the landscape.

Τα νερά είναι ρηχά και καταγάλανα και ιδανικά για κολύμπι αλλά και για μικρά παιδιά. Απέναντι, ένα μικρό νησάκι, το Αθερονήσι συμπληρώνει το τοπίο.

Their name derives from the Homeric word "επηετανοί", meaning a region with abundant waters throughout the year. They are located near Lixouri, on the west side of Paliki peninsula.

The busiest beach of Kefalonia. It is located just 3 kilometers from Argostoli and together with Platys Gialos, which is right next to it, they are the favorite destinations of the Argostoli to dive, play with the waves, sunbathing, but also ... spree to the famous beachbars! Makrys Gialos is the long sandy beach, while Platis in width.
