This offers something for everyone! We love visiting, but try to choose a nice sunny day! There are water surprise gardens which will delight the children, a lovely doll's house museum and the small chateau is delightful to look around. A must see..

The museum at Montormel gives visitors a fascinating and sometimes horrific account of events during World War 2 in this part of Normandy. Pegasus Bridge and the D-Day beaches are also well worth visiting. WW2 does not seem so long ago when you are in Normandy - even the writing you may spot on the exterior wall of our gite dates from that time, after the Allies blew up the bridge over the small River Monne, at the end of our garden. This was apparently added to give directions to Trun. We also occasionally find bullets in the garden and once an unexploded mortar bomb in the Monne!

Mont-Ormel

Visit St Pierre sur Dives on a Monday morning for the best local market! Wonderful fresh fruit and vegetables and lots of local products. Lots of chickens, rabbits etc. also for sale!
