Wonderful walk from Charmouth on The Coastal Path to Seatown. The 3 mile walk takes you via The Golden Cap, the highest point in Dorset with 360 degree views up to Portland down to Lyme and across to Morcombe Lake. The pub is busy on a nice clear sunny day, it doesn't take bookings just turn up. If you've had enough after that you can walk to the bus stop in the nearby village of Chiddock. It's 10 minutes back!

The Royal Oak is a smaller cosy pub serving good home cooked food. It's a 5 minute walk up the hill on The Street Charmouth. This place works well for guests that have travelled and are looking for an easy first night with a stroll to the local pub. Their menu offers specials which is usually fresh and locally sourced. We always recommend their fresh loin of cod in batter with chips and peas! Booking in advance is highly recommended during high season. Tel: 01297 560277

The George is directly opposite The Old Chapel. It mainly caters for families and is dog friendly. Their is a roaring coal fire when it's colder and a basic menu which you would associate with a busy pub. Booking isn't necessary.
