From April to Autumn the best pub is the open-air Figaro garden just under the balcony. The neighbourhood's arteria with a small pedestrian area is toward the riverbank, just look for Pozsonyi str.

The third nice small coffehouse in a 30m distance from our entrance: this is the most 'local' place, neighbourhood chitchat, butter toast and a simple lunch manu for 1200 HUF. It's a daytime place, closing hours are at 4pm.

There are a lot of places on our area's most vivid street, Pozsonyi út, the first street from the Duna. Briós Cafe is the best breakfast place, but don't be afraid to try the others as well.

The small butchery at the next door to us. Yes, it is the very simple end of the spectrum, but if you like meat, have an interest in working class culture and everyday locality, why not give a chance? For the sausages, order pickled cucumber ('kovászos uborka'), mustard and huge slices of bread.

Going out
Famous ruined pubs became too viral and went to Lonely Planet ads in the last years. if you want to visit one, try Szimpla Kert (year-round) or Kőleves Kert (summertime), and avoid places like Gozsdu Udvar. Here I show you some real pubs with more life and less mass tourism.
