Jindabyne has a central shopping area with a woolworths, resturants and all your ski hire equipment. The closest spot is The station resort operated by Perisher. It has a great bar and an all you can eat buffett in winter. There is also a pizza shop but generally they only open in winter.

You can also head to Dalgety, a small town on the banks of the snowy river. There is a small pub and I suggest a sunset walk to see wombats and platypus on the banks of the river. I hope you spot them!
