Parks & Nature
Stunning little bathing beach. 3minute walk from my house. Great for tanning and swimming if you can manage the cold water. Fabulous for couples and families. Watch the surfers, kite-boarders and windsurfers playing at Big Bay. The waves are small here and a resident seal will sometimes make an appearance and entertain the bathers. The walk from here along the promenade towards Milnerton is stunning.

Visit the Penguins at the Penguin Colony. Boulders Beach is beautiful for swimming. The penguins swim around the bathers. Park at Boulders Restaurant off Bellevue Road. Walk to the main entrance from here or enter the beach at the kiosk there.
Simons Town has beautiful views, quaint shops, and lots of history in this pretty naval town. Good for yachting or just watching the boats while you enjoy lunch at Yacht Harbour.

136 St George's StVisit the Penguins at the Penguin Colony. Boulders Beach is beautiful for swimming. The penguins swim around the bathers. Park at Boulders Restaurant off Bellevue Road. Walk to the main entrance from here or enter the beach at the kiosk there.
Simons Town has beautiful views, quaint shops, and lots of history in this pretty naval town. Good for yachting or just watching the boats while you enjoy lunch at Yacht Harbour.

We like to park at 'Preekstoel', where the barbecues are and walk down to the beach from there. Shallow warm water, soft sand and beautiful views. Take food and plenty water. Beware of sunburn. Please wear hats and sunblock. Don't go there if windy. Less than an hour from our house on the R27.

This has to be one of the most beautiful walks in the world! Loved by locals especially on Saturday mornings joggers and walkers of all ages and fitness levels fill this path. The 4,5 route starts at Big Bay, ends at Dolphin Beach. If you start at 'Ons Huisie Restaurant', walk down Stadler Road walking towards Table Mountain. You can pick up a takeaway cappuccino and pastry from a hole-in-the-wall at 'On The Rocks Restaurant'. Continue on Stadler Road turn right onto Sir David Blaird Drive, and right again onto Marine Drive. Great food stalls on the way. Good Bistros at Marine Circle by Kite Beach continue to Dolphin Beach. Walk back for another 4,5km back home.
