Between Uptown Sedona and Flagstaff winds the Oak Creek Canyon. Amazingly beautiful and considerably cooler. See Slide Rock State Park, Grasshopper Point, swim under Midgley Bridge and eat at Indian Gardens. Nice day trip especially if you don't have all the time it takes to go to the Grand Canyon.

Between Uptown Sedona and Flagstaff winds the Oak Creek Canyon. Amazingly beautiful and considerably cooler. See Slide Rock State Park, Grasshopper Point, swim under Midgley Bridge and eat at Indian Gardens. Nice day trip especially if you don't have all the time it takes to go to the Grand Canyon.
