Built between 1578 and 1603 by sultan Ahmed Al Mansour Saadien. At that time it was considered one of the most majestic palaces througout Morocco, its name meaning the palace of the incomparable.

The Menara is a heritage monument of the city. It was basically a pool of 200 by 150 metres used to store water during droughts. In 1869 the pavilion was built and gardens planted with olive trees.

These tombs dates back to the 16th century. In the 18th century, to erase the last traces of this dynasty who ruled between 1524 and 1659, this tomb was completely walled up and forgotten until 1917.
