This is a very upbeat and exciting neighborhood. There's something for the whole family. There's a skate park on Coronado Avenue headed west. Imperial Beach Sports Park 425 Imperial Beach Blvd. The vibe at the beach is lively. You'll find a variety of restaurants serving coastal cuisine, Mexican food, Pizzaria's: Luigis, Fillipis, and Pizza Port, Thai Food, Sports bars, as well as breweries such as: Coronado Brewery and other smaller scale ones. The Beach has a pier: Imperial Beach Pier. There is specialty stores where you can buy swimsuits and other beach items. There is also a Seashell store named Bibbeys Shell Shop. Other points of interest are the Creamery located off the IB Pier, and the Tacos and Hot Dogs on Seacoast Drive.

The city -San Diego is full of recreational activities - boat rides, trolley tours, shopping, restaurants, picnic areas, and Museums. Childrens Museum is close to the "Gaslamp Quarter" and the Maritime Museum is across from the Waterfront Park heading south.

Get there early because there is usually a line forming outside. Nearby park is across the street where you can stroll down to either exercise or setup a picnic for the family.
