You can reach the Hut without snowshoes, but you need them to reach the top of the mountain from the hut.

The Puez-Odle Nature Park is an ideal location for the following winter activities:
• ski touring: to mount Gabler, Montemuro. You need your own equipment
• cross-country ski: 6km of cross-country ski trail, and a 16km trail to/from Halslhütte toward Funes. You have to bring your own equipment or rent in San Vigilio di Marebbe
• toboggan: we have for you
• snowshoeing: we have for you
• sleddogs: in front of us, upon reservation - external provider

In the winter is not possible to do the circular hike (Roda de Pütia) due to snow.
However on the foot of the mountain it is possible to walk, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing for a 6km trail (Roda de Börz)

How to get to Passo delle Erbe in winter
In winter (approximately from November to May) Passo delle Erbe can only be reached from Val Badia.
Access from the Isarco Valley/Villnöss is closed during the winter season.
