A bit further up (a 10-15mns walk), in the quartier des Abbesses (Abbesses neighborhood). A traditional old school French restaurant. Not cheap, but worth it!

One of my favorite parisian place. Beautiful garden surrounded by galleries and stores.It's also nice to go there on a sunny day and enjoy the comfort of one of the armchairs with a good book to read.

Not so glamorous, it's a supermarket, but comes in handy as it's 1mn from the apartment and open till 11pm (also open on Sunday mornings).

Andre, this owner, is a friend of mine. Just tell him you are sent from Charles (leaving in Australia and married to Amelia), he will know.
Most of the time I stay at the bar. It's cheaper, and there is a good atmosphere.

It's late and you can't sleep? It's early and you feel like starting somewhere? Just go there. An ex brothel, turned into a trendy bar when the police cracked down on this kind of business about 7 years ago. Was it a good idea? Well at least you can still get a decent drink there...
