You take a hike/walk out to the light house to see some of the best views of the Hudson River. You can wade into the water to cook off before your return trip back the lighthouse has benches and places to just sit and watch the boats go by. Saugerties has a very busy inlet.

Absolutely the BEST butcher/ meat market in the Hudson valley! They smoke meats in-house. Talk about fresh bacon for breakfast or burgers and steaks for the grill! They have other authentic German foods as well, and best part is, the owners run the place and are the nicest people!!
