Great local pub with a lovely atmosphere. The garden is really well set up and it's a beautiful walk back to the flat along the canal.

Sightseeing
If you are up for a bit of fresh air, the walk to and around Osterley House is beautiful.
To get there, walk along the canal (towards the Fox), cross over the canal locks and through Warren Farm nature reserve. From here it's a short walk up the road, with a short cut through to the House opposite The Hare & Hounds pub.
The house itself is paid entry (£13.00 per adult), but the gardens are free to walk around.

More of a local city farm than a Zoo, but well worth a visit. The miniature donkeys & capybaras are the stars of the show.
At £4.50 per adult, it's a bargain. Remember to book ahead, as they have limited tickets available, and they often sell out.

Hanwell Station / Elizabeth Line
The newly opened Elizabeth line is by far the most comfortable option for getting into the city centre. Trains run from Hanwell station every 15 minutes direct to Paddington.
To get to the station, walk along Uxbridge Rd towards Hanwell, crossing the road at the bridge. Walk through the park, alongside the river, crossing over the foot bridge underneath the viaduct. Follow the path, heading right at the top of the hill. Walk straight ahead and the station will be on your left.
When dark, stick to the pavement route, which is only slightly longer.
