This is an incredible journey from Durango to Silverton. I highly recommend booking ahead. Round trip is a very long day. I recommend taking the train shuttle one way and the train for a half day excursion.

Pagosa is about 60 miles from Durango and worth the visit! Pagosa Hot Springs are in the Guinness book for the deepest geothermal springs. It’s a great way to relax and check out Pagosa Springs too!
