New owners, but they kept some of the traditions and history from Joe’s. I love that I can get a martini here and amazing pizza. The pot stickers are a great starter. Warning. Even though they serve food, it’s a small place with a bar so it’s 21 and over.

It’s a little drive up route 12, but worth it! Dog-friendly patio and great beers brewed right there. Food is great too. Burgers to flatbread pizzas. Dave always gets the ribs.

Beautiful spot to watch the sunset or fish off the pier. Big beach as well. Stop at the Trail Shop for drinks and food. Yep, wine and beer too! Parking can be tough, but if you park in the far away lots, great paved walkway with stunning views of the dunes.

Great trail. They have a parking lot, but you can walk there from our Air bnb. It’s just not that fun walking along 12, but it’s not far past the gas station.

Cruise up route 12 for about 15-20 minutes and you’ll find this beaut. Usually a line of cars to get into the park. Go early. Or just go to West Beach. 😀

Take a quick drive up to Beverly Shores and check out the houses that were originally part of Chicago's 1933-34 Century of Progress Exposition. The House of Tomorrow was Designed as the house of the future, this house included its own airplane hangar. Tours are once a year if I remember correctly, but cool to walk up and down the street to see them all!
