Neighborhoods

Our home is in Sharp Park, which is a beach community with a mix of summer cottages and modern custom-built homes. The area offers cafes and casual eateries. There’s not much in the way of upscale bars or fine dining, for that best to take an Uber or Lyft up to San Francisco.

City/town information

Pacifica is a beautiful beach town with over six miles of beaches punctuated with tiny pocket coves, rolling dunes and rocky headlands. Over half of the land in this small city is protected open space with beautiful hikes and parklands, which feel a world away. Yet, Pacifica is only three miles from San Francisco and 20 minutes’ drive to downtown SF. Natural activities in Pacifica include world famous surfing, scuba, fishing, paragliding, hiking, birding, mountain biking, boating and horseback riding. Pacifica also offers an 18-hole public golf course, often referred to as "the poor man's Pebble Beach,” and an amazing bowling alley. Because Pacifica evolved as several separate beach communities, there is no town center but rather a string of small shopping centers and commercial areas.
