My favorite spot in Ala Moana. Open air restaurant/bar. Good food and affordable drinks. Great for sports and music. One of the few places left in Honolulu that you can get a $3 or $4 beer.

My favorite Korean BBQ spot. Located just across the street from the convention center. Beef kalbi, BBQ chicken, and the spicy pork are my favorites. Add in the mac and cheese and that corn and you are set for the night.

Best rotisserie chicken sandwich I have ever had. If you are headed to or from the north shore make sure you stop here. Maui Wowie Melt is my go to. They are all great though. Fries with the dipping sauces are perfection.

RumFire has a special place in my heart as it was my first destination off the plane. Couldn't pick a nicer spot for my first drink in Hawaii, of course it was a Mai Tai. After 12 years still my go to if I want to class it up a bit.

If you are hitting up the beaches on the east side make sure to stop at Kalapawai Cafe. Located right next to the beach they have great sandwiches and other food items.

Tikis is another spot close to my heart. RumFire was my first drink in Hawaii but Tiki's was the spot for my first night of debauchery. The food is garbage, with the exception of the quesadilla (nearly impossible to screw those up), so don't go there hungry, but the atmosphere is near perfection. Some fun local Hawaiian bands and a view of the sun setting over the ocean are tough to beat.
