Food scene
Radius 7 is opposite The Thatched House. I’d recommend booking this well in advance. It’s a small restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. It’s perfect for families or couples. The food is seasonal and beautifully presented, it’s a really special restaurant. The bar area is lovely too for a relaxed gin. The views of the sea are fantastic, definitely a must when staying at The Thatched House!

A great pub in the village, less than a 5 minute walk from the house. Excellent pizza and gin selection. Family friendly too.

Beach
A private beach.
A short and very beautiful walk to the beach from The Thatched House. Head towards the shop, up the small hill towards the pub. Opposite the pub there’s a left turn down a small road. It’s signed ‘Coastal Path’. Walk down there and at the end. Cross the road, then there’s a walk through the wooded area that brings you into the beach. (You can also drive there or catch the bus from outside Radius). The beach has a fantastic cafe called Venus which serves brunch and lunch. There are loos at the beach and a little shop selling buckets and spades and ice creams! You can barbecue on the beach after 5pm!
